Longing

Longing to hear, longing to see;
To hear the chirping of birds,
The wind through the trees,
To see the sun, stars, and moon.
Wanting it all,
But all that is left is touch and smell.
I can touch and smell
The flowers,
But I cannot see them.
But, I cannot touch nor smell
The sun, moon, or stars.
How shall I know them?
I’m surrounded by loneliness,
Lost in the darkness,
No one understanding me.
No one is hearing
As I scream inside my head. Help, teach Me.  I long for all there is to know.
Although I cannot see, nor hear,
I have dreams, I have hopes,
I see and hear things
No one else will have.
Darkness, surrounded all around,
No light in sight, caught up in my fears,
Crying lost tears, searching for a Miracle to uncover me.
Then comes a lady.
She found lost thoughts inside,
Unable to be expressed.
I saw and heard with my hands and heart.
Now there is no longer darkness.
I call that miracle teacher.
